try and keep your feet still listening to this cd. swingin' at it's finest. you definitely need a 12 pack or two to listen to this cd, honky tonkin' and two steppin'.
You'll be glad you did. True Texas style swing. Buy it and start dancin'.
If you like good swing & good fiddle, this CD is a must. Asleep at the wheel scores big time, again. If ever there was group that could begin to fill the shoes of old time country swing, AATW would have to be right there at the top of the heap, without a doubt.
Great compilation of some of the greats of the greats. Anything by Bob Wills is high on our list, and nobody does Bob better than Asleep at the Wheel.
This is a good pick to represent the best of their work for Sony/Epic, if you don't want to collect all their recordings. Swing Time is a good compilation of some of the best songs from three other albums: 10, Western Standard Time, and their out-of-print 1974 Epic self-titled album. It's hard for an individual to put together a representative "best of" collection for a group like Asleep At The Wheel because they've jumped around from one label to the next, and the labels certainly wouldn't want to cooperate with each other.
